2024 Events

 On May 16, 2024, over 30 Lions from various Rhode Island Lions Cubs, in addition to a North Smithfield High School student, packed about  16,000 pairs of eyeglasses to be sent to the New Jersey Lions Eye Glass Recycling Center. There the eyeglass lens powers are measured and then the eyeglasses are catalogued by lens power. They can be shipped to missions that provide eyecare for communities around the world that do not have good eye care. Thank you to the Sunnyside Restaurant for letting the RILSF use their space for this event and their help with the shipping.
